Photo/Video Booth Hire - Frequent Questions

Solitaire's portable booths for capturing photos and video are a great way to enhance your wedding, party, celebration or corporate event. Booths are inclusive, meaning everyone can join in and have memories to last a lifetime from your special occasion.


What colour are your photo booths?

They come in a stylish glossy black finish which fits with most venues. Optionally we can theme or brand your booth as required.

Can we choose between black & white or colour photos?

Our new touch-screen system allows the user to choose between black and white or colour photos for each sitting, as well as a selection of fun backgrounds.

Can we record a video message?

Yes! All video clips are presented to the party host on a DVD shortly after the event.

How long does the booth run for?

Our standard hire package provides for 3 hours unlimited usage. Additional time can be arranged in advance.

Who looks after the booth?

One of our trained operators will remain on-site for the duration of the hire to assist with operation, provide fun props (if required) and answer any questions.

Are you insured?

We carry £5m public liability insurance and £10m employers' liability insurance. Certificates are available on request.

My venue has requested a risk assessment and a PAT certificate?

We are happy to provide copies of the relevant documentation to satisfy your venue.

What quality are the photos?

All photos are high quality digital images printed onto commercial dye sublimination printers which dry instantly and are durable, fade and damage-resistant.

Do we get to keep the photos/videos?

We will send you a DVD containing all of the imagery captured at the event. We will usually do this within 14 days. You are free to make copies of this disc.

Can we view the images online?

All photographs can be made available online for you/your guests to view, free of charge.

How many people can fit in the booth?

A maximum of 5 - 3 seated and 2 more in front. Ideally though 1 - 3 people.

How many photos are included?

During the hire your guests can take unlimited photos. They can go back as often as they like.

How much do the booths cost?

Hire charges start at £550 inc. VAT for 3 hours use within 30 miles of our base in Reading. This includes delivery, setup, 3 hours hire, attendant, props and unlimited photos/video. If taken in conjunction with our Mobile Disco we can offer a 10% reduction due to the savings we make on delivery & installation.

How far do you travel?

We can travel anywhere, but outside our 30 mile standard delivery zone there will be an additional travel cost. Contact us for more details.

Can we hire the booth for longer than 3 hours?

We find that 3 hours is perfect for the majority of parties and events, however we can arrange extra hours at £100 per hour of operation or part thereof.

How much space does it need?

We require a flat, level indoor surface 2.3m wide by 1.25m deep and 2.1m high (approx. 7ft x 4ft x 6ft) and access to a standard 13A mains socket within 25m.

How long does it take to set up?

Setup takes approximately 45 minutes once the booth has been delivered to the setup area. We ask for 90 minutes to be on the safe side.

Can the booth be set up earlier in the day?

We can arrange an early setup of the booth but there may be additional costs involved. Contact us with your plans and we'll see what we can do.

Do you supply props for us to use?

If the party host agrees, we will provide free fun dressing-up props including hats, wigs and inflatables. We can also offer themed props for hallowe'en and Christmas parties, for example.

How is payment made?

All hires require a 25% deposit and a signed contract returned within 7 days of issue. We accept cheques and all major debit cards, credit cards (2.5% surcharge) or bank transfer. Card payments can be made over the phone or online.
